The College of Geosciences at Texas A&M University is one of the world's preeminent comprehensive university geosciences programs. The focus of the College is on the physical, biological and human systems of our planet and the ways in which they interact.

We investigate the forces which shape the past, present and future of the solid earth, the oceans, the atmosphere, the biosphere and human cultures and societies. We work with society to develop, sustain and enhance our planet's resources within the bounds of responsible environmental stewardship. We address the needs of the people of Texas, the nation, and the world in rising to the challenge posed by a changing global environment.

Geosciences faculty and students are involved in studies that span the globe. Opportunities for students to gain a global perspective are many, through field trips, internships, study abroad programs and participation in faculty research projects.
