As a land and sea grant university, Texas A&M appreciates the importance of water resources both on land and at sea. Researchers in the College of Geosciences work across the diverse field of hydrological processes. They study chemical, biological and physical processes in the ocean as well as how the ocean interacts with the atmosphere, coasts and ocean’s resources. They examine the many ecosystems that exist in and around water. They also study how to build sustainable water supplies by improving water availability, quality and usage. This work helps build a symbiotic relationship between humans and water resources so that oceans, coasts and rivers may sustain generations to come.
