Texas A&M researchers across departments dedicate themselves to understand, model and sustain the atmosphere. They investigate interactions within the atmosphere and between the atmosphere and the Earth’s other systems. They also examine climate in the past, present and future to advance the understanding of how to react to the climate. They serve the public interest by studying air quality, developing forecast models and considering alternative energies. They also step beyond Earth to investigate the atmospheres of other planets. All of these efforts improve our understanding of how our life-sustaining atmosphere functions, how we can protect it and how we can best use our knowledge.
