Oceanography graduate students Ruth Mullins and Edwin Pinto both won the Outstanding Accomplishments in Interdisciplinary Research and the International Education Week Choice Awards. Undergraduate Geology major Adam Horbaczewski won the Ecological Integration Symposium Dual Participant award.

Many faculty volunteers from the College helped judge the poster and oral presentations held throughout Student Research Week which is planned and funded by the Texas A&M Graduate Student Council with support from the colleges and departments. In addition to presenting their research in poster and oral sessions, Geosciences students also volunteered their time to help organize and run the event. Geology graduate student Shari Hilding-Kronforst represented the College on the Student Research Week Committee.
