College of Geosciences Hosts Scholarship Banquet PDF Print E-mail

Scholarships and Fellowships to be Awarded to More Than 135 Students

The College of Geosciences will hold its annual Scholarship & Fellowship Banquet this Friday, October 26th, at The Brazos Cotton Exchange in downtown Bryan. Over 135 scholarships and fellowships will be awarded to both graduate and undergraduate students. The College will be awarding $75,000 total, in addition to varying amounts from the Department of Atmospheric Sciences, the Department of Geology & Geophysics, the Department of Geography, and the Department of Oceanography.

The guest speaker for the evening will be Kellam Colquitt, Chief Operating Officer of Richardson based Reef Exploration Inc. Colquitt graduated from the Texas A&M College of Geosciences in 1970 with a degree in Geology. Colquitt is a member of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists, the Houston and Dallas Petroleum Clubs, and the Houston Geological Society.
