New academic initiatives for undergraduate students in the College of Geoscience include Bachelor of Science B.S. degrees offered in Environmental Studies, Environmental Geosciences, Geography / Geographic Information Science, and Spatial Sciences. Another recent offering is a minor in Geoinformatics (GIS/GPS/RS).

New initiatives for graduate include Master of Science M.S. degrees in Geosciences (MGsc), Water Management and Hydrologic Science, and Geographic Information Science (MGis), and a Doctor of Philosophy Ph.D. degree in Water Management and Hydrologic Science
